Afternoon in Flint

I was in Flint last week on a beautiful day, with only my cell phone for a camera.  PANO_20130724_150322Saginaw Street downtown is  a cool mix of quite old buildings and newer, obviously much cheaper buildings which fill in the gaps left through the years.

Citizens Commercial and Savings Bank, 1871/1928

Mott Foundation Building, 1930

Capitol Theater, 1928

Salvation Army Building, 1893/1910

A nickname more than 100 years old: Before participating in the early automobile industry, Flint manufactured horse-drawn carts.

IMG_20130724_141219 I had  a great lunch at Flint Crepe Company, which makes great food using local ingredients and Calder Dairy milk.
