When in Rome…

Michigan is the land of tart cherries, which were unfortunately mostly killed off this year in our hot March and cold April.  But that didn’t stop me from making this:

This was actually my first fresh cherry pie.  Berries are great: you throw them in whole, so they stay nice and firm, yet they still release enough juice to create that sugary goo that makes the pie very tasty!
